Daniel Newman: Jim, one of the things that Tech Day always was really well known for was the showcases, the hands on, the ability for people to touch, see, feel, experience how this technology is impacting their lives. I mean, it’s great to see so many of these new technologies showcased at Tech Day, even virtually this year. And clearly memory and storage are at the heart of so many critical application areas. How would you best summarize all of the tech showcase sessions at this year’s event?

Jim Elliott: We actually spent a lot of on this, and ultimately the vision there was we wanted to recreate that tech showcase or those in-person demos that we’ve featured in the past at our Tech Day events, when we’d have them here at the Samsung@First campus in San Jose. And the demos were always very busy and really kind of a highlight of the event. This year we actually have 10 technology showcases featuring great topics, things like disaggregated storage, memory workloads, networking interfaces, and CXL, just to name a few. And finally, we’re always looking to address current challenges in the marketplace. And really we want to partner with our customers’ engineers, the folks that are on the front lines of innovation and solving some of these IT challenges. And really by collaborating with these partners, we’re able to move the industry forward in new and exciting ways. And really that’s what this whole tech showcase is all about.

Daniel Newman: There’s a lot to like about that. As an analyst, I love seeing the technology put to work. I always say when it’s things like benchmarking and just tracking the data and the numbers, everything is about the application in the real world. Sounds like this is a great way for your guests and the attendees of Tech Day 2021 to really see and feel the impact of memory technology.

Jim Elliott: That’s right. And that’s part of the vision, is how do we work with our partners and technology companies to kind of tell that story together holistically? And I think that’s a much more impactful summary of some of the innovations that we’re going to see.

Daniel Newman: I can’t wait for Tech Day and to see how all these demos do. And we’ll definitely be talking to you after.

Jim Elliott: Yeah. Sounds good.
